Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with Alma Health without a referral. If another healthcare provider or insurer has given you specific requirements, please bring those details with you.
What happens during my first visit?
We discuss your concerns, health history and goals, then assess your posture, movement, spinal structure and neurological function. Further testing or scans may be recommended where appropriate. Your booking confirmation will show the scheduled appointment length, and your first visit costs $120.
How do I know whether chiropractic care is appropriate for me?
That is what the initial assessment is designed to establish. We explain what we find, answer your questions and tell you honestly whether chiropractic care is an appropriate next step. If it is not, we will discuss other suitable options.
Do you provide care for children and pregnant women?
Yes. Alma Health provides gentle, individualised chiropractic care for children, babies and pregnant women. Every person is assessed individually, and we explain whether care is appropriate before proceeding.
What does the first visit cost?
Your first visit costs $120. It includes a detailed consultation and assessment so we can understand what is happening and explain the most appropriate next step.
Can I claim private health insurance?
Yes—if your private health insurance includes chiropractic cover, you can claim eligible benefits. We provide an itemised receipt after your visit for you to submit through your health fund’s online portal or app. Your rebate will depend on your individual policy and level of cover.
